[DMANET] Call for papers for IEEE SISDL 2025

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Second International Workshop on
Scalability, Interoperability, and Sustainability of Distributed Ledgers
for Networks of the Future (SISDL 2025)

In Conjunction with

IEEE International Conference on Blockchain Computing and Applications

(IEEE BCCA 2025)

October 14-17, 2025, Dubrovnik, Croatia

https://bcca-conference.org/2025/Workshops/SISDL.php

Distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) are poised to transform various
industries, but challenges in scalability, interoperability, and
sustainability must be addressed to unlock their full potential. This
workshop brings together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts
to explore solutions and shape the future of DLTs within evolving network
environments. While DLTs offer decentralization and immutability, key
barriers, such as achieving scalability for widespread adoption, enabling
seamless cross-network interoperability, and ensuring environmentally
sustainable solutions, remain. This workshop aims to tackle these issues
and accelerate DLT development and adoption.

The workshop welcomes submissions on a broad spectrum of topics related to
distributed ledgers' scalability, interoperability, and sustainability for
the next generation networks. This includes original research ideas,
innovative solutions, fundamental methodological studies, and use
cases/application demonstrations, including but not limited to:

-

Scalability Challenges
-

Interoperability Solutions
-

Sustainability in Distributed Ledgers
-

Novel consensus mechanisms for scalable and secure distributed ledgers
-

Cross-chain communication protocols and interoperability standards
-

Energy-efficient and sustainable blockchain architectures
-

Impact of blockchain technologies on next-generation networks
-

Decentralized applications (DApps) and their implications on network
structures
-

Security and privacy considerations in scalable and interoperable
blockchain systems
-

Governance models for sustainable and inclusive blockchain ecosystems
-

Real-world use cases and case studies demonstrating scalable and
interoperable DLT implementations
