We are accepting applications for a 1-year postdoctoral research position within the project ANR-DROI funded by the French government. The project concerns primal and dual bounds for adjustable robust optimization problems (a detailed description can be found here: https://edge.gitlabpages.inria.fr/projects/droi/).
We are searching for highly motivated candidates with a strong background in mixed-integer programming who can accommodate a start date in October 2025. Knowledge and expertise in optimization under uncertainty approaches such as robust optimization and/or stochastic programming is highly appreciated and experience in decomposition methods and numerical implementation is a plus.
The postdoctoral researcher is additionally expected to integrate the team EDGE (https://team.inria.fr/edge/) at Inria-Bordeaux and the Mathematics Institute of Bordeaux, France. Team EDGE is composed of 6 full-time members working around reformulation and decomposition techniques for mixed-integer programming as well as optimization under uncertainty approaches (stochastic and robust optimization). We are also very active in terms of industrial collaborations working with some of the industrial leaders in France such as EDF and Saint-Gobain.
