IDA Conference center, Copenhagen, Denmark
June 22-24, 2026
*Preliminary Call for Papers*
*Topics*
SEA aims to attract papers that highlight the role of experimentation and
algorithm engineering techniques in the design and analysis of algorithms
and data structures. The symposium also welcomes works that explore novel
applications of algorithms in other disciplines. Submissions should present
significant results supported by sound experimental evaluation, address
methodological aspects in the design and interpretation of experiments,
investigate the use of (meta-)heuristics, or offer application-driven case
studies that advance the understanding of the complexity of a problem.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
Algorithm Engineering
Algorithmic Libraries and Software Repositories
Algorithmic Cryptography and Security
Algorithmic Natural Language Processing
Algorithmics for Databases
Analysis of Algorithms
Approximation Algorithms
Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
Branch-and-Bound Algorithms
Combinatorial Problems and Structures
Communication Networks
Computational Geometry
Computational Optimization
Compressed space algorithms and data structures
Data Structures
Distributed and Parallel Algorithms
Graph Algorithms
Heuristic Algorithms
Integer Programming
Logistics and Operations Management
Machine Learning and Data Mining
Mathematical Programming
Multiple Criteria Decision Making
Network Analysis
Online Problems
Randomized Algorithms
Semidefinite Programming
String Algorithms
Streaming and External Memory Algorithms
*Important Dates*
Deadline for submissions: January 23, 2026 (AoE)
Author notification: March 31, 2026
*Submission and Proceedings*
The conference proceedings will be published in the Leibniz International
Proceedings in Informatics (LIPIcs).
Authors should submit a paper not exceeding 12 pages, excluding
bibliography, front page, and a brief appendix of up to 5 pages.
SEA will implement a double-blind review process, and all papers have to be
fully anonymized. Non-anonymized papers will be desk-rejected.
Submissions will be through EasyChair (
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sea2026)
Simultaneous submission to other conferences with published proceedings or
to journals is not allowed.
At least one author of each accepted paper will have to register for the
conference.
