[DMANET] CTA^2 workshop on Spatial Structures

Dear colleagues, This is to announce the first meeting of a new series of events at CTA^2 - Center for Topology, Algebra, and their Applications, titled Workshop on Spatial Structures 21-25 September 2026 at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands. August Spatial structures appear throughout mathematics, connecting topology, combinatorics, and geometry in surprising and beautiful ways, capturing how objects sit and interact within the spaces around them. This workshop aims to bring together researchers from a range of backgrounds to strengthen the community and to discuss developments in the theory of spatial structures, with a particular focus on topological graph theory, spatial graphs, braids, and periodic tillings.
