[DMANET] PhD Positions in Stochastic Optimization at Purdue University

PhD Positions in Stochastic Optimization at Purdue University I invite applications for fully funded PhD positions in my group in the Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University, in the Operations Research area. My group develops adaptive stochastic optimization methods with rigorous guarantees. I work on high-probability complexity analysis under noisy, biased, or heavy-tailed oracles and on algorithms for smooth and nonsmooth nonlinear problems, with possible applications in machine learning and healthcare. Ideal candidates have a strong background in mathematics, probability/statistics, and optimization; prior relevant research experience is a plus. Positions are fully funded through assistantships and fellowships. To apply, submit an application to the Purdue IE PhD program by the application deadline and mention my name in the application.
