2 - 6 July 2012
Canterbury, Kent, UK
==============================================================
We solicit papers for the Graduate Student Symposium to be held as part of Diagrams 2012. The symposium will be held during the main conference on the afternoons of July 3 and 4, 2012.
The goal of the Diagrams 2012 Graduate Student Symposium is twofold. Firstly, the symposium will provide senior graduate students and recent graduates with the opportunity to present their research and receive feedback from established researchers who will provide comments on each of the presentations. Secondly, the symposium will provide students with an opportunity to network with each other as future colleagues. There will be a faculty talk from the coordinator of the symposium on how to prepare for a successful academic career.
Graduate students who have papers accepted at the symposium will be asked to give a presentation. Students attending the symposium who have posters in the main conference will present the poster at the conference and will also be asked to give a presentation at the symposium. Students who present long or short papers in the main conference will not present at the symposium, however all students who receive student funding from Diagrams 2012 will be expected to attend the symposium.
