The SUTD-MIT Postdoctoral Programme offers unique research
opportunities to highly talented international individuals to engage
in new or on-going research programmes at MIT and SUTD. These two-year
appointments are competitive and are designed to advance MIT's and
SUTD's postdoctoral research environment in technology, architecture,
engineering, manufacturing, and systems design. Postdoctoral fellows
will spend one year at MIT and one year at SUTD. Up to 10 fellowships
will be awarded.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Electric vehicles
- Engineering design for sustainability
- Transportation
- Urbanisation
- Wireless/Sensor networks
- Information Security
- Robotics
- Design theory and methodology
- Health care & medical devices
- International development
Both fundamental and applied research projects are encouraged.

It is highly recommended that the applicants contact relevant faculty
in the area of interest at SUTD-MIT before submitting an application,
because the postdoctoral fellows are expected to have an advisor at
SUTD or MIT (preferably both). The applicants are expected to submit a
research proposal (max 10 pages), curriculum vitae and letters of
reference. Deadline for application is March 1st 2012, the
appointments will commence on September 1st 2012. For more information
and a detailed description of the documents and format required for
application: postgraduate@sutd.edu.sg

Within the context of this program, applicants interested in working
in the area of combinatorial optimization are encouraged to contact
Giacomo Nannicini at nannicini@sutd.edu.sg. One position may be
available in the area of Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Programming.
