The Foundations of Mobile Computing workshop (FOMC) is being held soon
in conjunction with PODC 2012. With the rise of portable devices and
new wireless standards, mobile computing is one of the fastest growing
areas of computer science. With this in mind, we have built our
program around a simple goal: to help participants come away with new
and interesting theory problems that are important to practitioners in
this area.
We have an exciting program planned and the details can be found at
http://fomc2012.cs.georgetown.edu/program.html. This year, FOMC will
also feature:
-- Keynote talks by Nitin Vaidya and Christian Scheideler.
-- A special session focusing on exciting open problems with
presentations by Seth Gilbert, Rotem Oshman, and Thomas Kesselheim.
Finally, if you're already attending PODC, then FOMC provides an
excellent excuse to spend another day in sunny Madeira. We hope to see
you there!
