Two Postdoctoral Positions in Algorithms at Sapienza University of Rome

Two postdoctoral positions in algorithms are available at Sapienza
University of Rome, Department of Computer, Control and Management
Engineering. Candidates with strong qualifications in all areas of
algorithmic design are encouraged to apply and will be carefully
considered. Areas of specific interest are:

- Approximation Algorithms
- Algorithmic Game Theory
- Mechanism Design and Computerized Auctions
- Algorithms for Social Networks
- Web Algorithmics and Data Mining

Applicants should have a PhD degree or being close to completing it.
Knowledge of Italian language is not necessary, but good knowledge of
English is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and
levels of accomplishment. The positions are partly supported by the
EU PAAl project (ERC Starting Grant 259515: Practical Approximation
Algorithms, Principal Investigator: Piotr Sankowski) and by the
EU MULTIPLEX project (EU-FET-317532:Foundational Research on Multilevel
Complex Networks and Systems.)

Successful candidates can start after May 2013 (negotiable). Funding is
available for up to 2 years and different durations are possible.
Travel support is available.
