The ARC Project COPHYMA (Unifying COmputational, PHYsical, and MAthematical approaches to complexity) is inviting applications for 1 two-year postdoctoral position at Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Brussels).
We are a looking for one motivated researcher with interests in one or several of the following topics:
- convex polytopes
- combinatorial optimization
- graphs and partially ordered sets
- communication complexity
- quantum information
to work on questions related to:
- projections of polytopes / extended formulations
- communication complexity / query complexity
- lower bounds and algorithms for sorting problems
The team of PIs consists of:
Nicolas Cerf (Center for Quantum Informations and Communication, Engineering School),
Jean Cardinal (Algorithms Group, Computer Science Department),
Samuel Fiorini (Algebra and Combinatorics, Department of Mathematics),
Stefan Langerman (Algorithms Group, Computer Science Department),
Jérémie Roland (Center for Quantum Informations and Communication, Engineering School).
Deadline for applications: March 15th, 2014.
