Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the workshop "Words and Complexity" to be
held at University de Lyon, February 19-23, 2018. It will focus on
combinatorics on words and its interactions with other areas of
mathematics and theoretical computer science. Note that this workshop is
part of the thematic semester "Graphs, Groups and Dynamics
<http://milyon.universite-lyon.fr/recherche/semestres-et-mois-thematiques/2017-2/groupes-graphes-et-dynamique/>"
(September, 2017 to February, 2018) sponsored by the Milyon Labex
<http://milyon.universite-lyon.fr/>.
Registration is free of charge but compulsory and must be done
before*January 10, 2018*.
The workshop will offer both invited and short talks, as well as time
for working sessions. The list of the invited speakers can be found here

short talks (approx. 20 min) are available. If you wish to give such a
talk, please submit an abstract on submission page before *January 10,
2018*.
In addition, we are offering a limited number of grants for doctoral
students, postdoctoral fellows and young researchers. Deadline to apply
is *December 1, 2017*. Refer to the section "Student grants" of the
conference web-page for instructions on how to apply.
