Call for applications
Ph.D. position (Wiss. Mitarbeiter)
TVL E13 -- 5 years
in the Discrete Mathematics group of TU Berlin.
The position comes with teaching obligations that are typically
fulfilled through work as a teaching assistant. Because the main
language of teaching is German, applicants should be proficient
in German or be willing to learn the language within
a short period of time.
Applicants should have a solid background in combinatorics
and graph theory. Candidates with an interest in
discrete geometry, planar graphs or posets
are particularly encouraged to apply.
A prior master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field is
required. It may also be possible to hire a person with a
Ph.D. degree. The position is paid according to level TVL E13 of the
German salary scale for public employees (the monthly gross salary is
likely to exceed 3500 euros).
