The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University (Prague, Czech
Republic) invites applications for four postdoc positions in computer science.
The expected starting date September 1, 2018.
Strong candidates from all areas of computer science will be considered.
The planned focus of the positions is:
- deep learning with applications to multimedia retrieval, big data analytics or
natural language processing;
- complex systems including mobile and/or autonomous systems (including
self-driving vehicles and drones), possibly with cloud technologies;
- software systems including modern software architecture, performance
engineering, software verification or computer graphics and rendering;
- theoretical computer science and discrete mathematics.

The positions are funded by the Czech Operational Programme Research,
Development and Education No. CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_027/0008495. The funding is
available for one year starting from September 1, 2018, with the gross monthly
salary (i.e. before taxes) around 62.000 CZK (approx. 2450 EUR). The applicants
should already have a PhD degree, obtained within the last 7 years, and should
have spent at least 2 years out of the last three years outside of the Czech
Republic.
