Your Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must hold (or be close to completing) a Doctorate/Ph.D. degree in operations research, management, logistics, operations management, economics, business informatics, computer science, mathematics, statistics or a related field
- Experience in modelling and the development of solution methods for optimization problems (combinatorial optimization, linear programming, stochastic optimization, metaheuristics, simulation, game theoretic approaches) in the fields of logistics, operations and/or supply chain management
- Publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Strong programming skills (C/C++/Java/Python)
- Experience in applying commercial solvers (CPLEX/Gurobi)
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written)

Job Duties:
- Conduct scientific research on topics relevant to the institute (mainly in collaboration with other institute members and international cooperation partners) and publish the respective findings
- Present research findings at international conferences
- Take part in the conception, application and execution of research projects
- Willingness to teach and to participate in developing university-level courses as well as supervise Master's and Bachelor theses
- Provide support to manage the institute's general administration activities
