The successful candidate will work on "Multivariate Algorithms: New domains
and paradigms" project funded by the Norwegian Research Council and led by
Fedor Fomin.
The project focuses on fine-grained analysis of (parameterized,
approximation, polynomial, counting, dynamic, streaming, etc.) algorithms
on various objects (graphs, points, vectors, spaces, matrices, matroids,
strings, etc.).
Candidates are required to have completed (or being close to completion) a
PhD in the area of theoretical computer science, discrete mathematics or a
related discipline. Strong background in algorithms, complexity theory,
and combinatorics is a plus.
This is a full time research position, no teaching is required. Starting
