[DMANET] Postdoctoral Fellowship

We are seeking for a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate
interested in applying for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual
Fellowship. Briefly,
the goal of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships is to
enhance the
creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers, wishing to
diversify their individual competence in terms of skill acquisition
through
advanced training, international and intersectoral mobility.



Applicants from outside Europe are particularly welcome.



Research of the group: We are conducting
interdisciplinary research in data science combining methods from
machine
learning and network science. Specifically, our group is interested in
analyzing data from genomics, finance and social media to study the
hierarchical organization of networks and predictive implications.
Examples
include the inference of causal networks or the classification of
high-dimensional
data with deep learning and ensemble methods.

Location of host institution: Tampere University,
Finland




Background: In order to apply for the position the
following is required.



·
PhD in Computer Science, Statistics or Applied
Mathematics or closely related fields. The PhD degree must not be earned
before
the 1.10.2016.


·
MSc in Computer Science, Statistics or Applied
Mathematics or closely related fields with an excellent GPA.


·
At least three published papers (journal or
conference).


·
Very good programming skills in one of the
following languages with more than 4 years of programming experience: R,
python, matlab, C++ or Java.


·
Very good communication skills in English.
