At the Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering, Univeisity of
Modena and Reggio Emilia, it is open a selection for a *junior research
position.*
The research concern the design and implementation of optimization
algorithms for a production planning and scheduling problem of the
company Elettric 80 (https://www.elettric80.com/en/).
The candidate will work in a very dynamic environment in a mixed group
including professors of the Department, personnel of the Company and
consultants from a top international consultancy agency working at a
SAP/MES implementation in the Company.
The resulting algorithm must be tested for daily planning of the company.
The working site is Reggio Emilia (Italy) and Viano (RE). Constant
presence in the company facilities is mandatory.
We require knowledge in optimization and operations research, very good
programming skills, knowledge of software engineering, a master degree
in engineering, information science, mathematics, physics or statistics.
We offer a yearly research grant, with possibility to extend for a
second year.
