The FZI Research Center for Information Technology is a non-profit institution for applied research in information technology and technology transfer. To strengthen our department "Knowledge Management" in the research area Information Process Engineering with a focus on Stream Processing, Machine Learning and Semantic Data Management, we are looking for a full-time PostDoc in the topic area "Machine Learning" at our headquarters in Karlsruhe, Germany, as soon as possible.
Tasks
Project management and collaboration in national and international projects
Support in project acquisition of publicly funded projects and industry projects
Expansion of the range of services and strategic further development of the topic area Machine Learning
Conception, implementation and publication of novel, innovative methods
Supporting and providing impulses for the scientific staff of the research area
Presentation of research results and prototypes in the context of publications and presentations on a national and international level

We expect
Completed PhD
Expertise in machine learning, ideally with specialization in computer vision
Knowledge of software architecture and development is an advantage

First experience in leading R&D projects and interdisciplinary teams
High degree of personal responsibility, motivation, commitment, and strong teamwork skills
Excellent German and English language skills as well as presentation and moderation skills
A structured working style with fun in combining conceptual and implementation work
