ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

ESICUP is the Working Group of the Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO) on Cutting and Packing.
Besides the promotion of publications, the activities of the group include the maintenance of a web page and the organization of meetings.
The 19th ESICUP Meeting is the 2023 regular meeting of ESICUP and will be held in Bologna, Italy, from May 3 to 5, 2023.
ESICUP 2023 follows meetings in Wittenberg (Germany), Southampton (United Kingdom), Porto (Portugal), Tokyo (Japan), L'Aquila (Italy), Valencia (Spain), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Copenhagen (Denmark), La Laguna (Spain), Lille (France), Beijing (China), Portsmouth (UK), Ibiza (Spain), Liège (Belgium), Zoetermeer (The Netherlands), Mexico City (Mexico), 2021 – online (ZOOM) and Toledo (Spain) last year.

SCOPE AND TOPICS

In this meeting contributions dealing with any aspect of the Cutting and Packing problems formulation, resolution or application are welcomed. This includes theoretical achievements, algorithms development and real-world implementations. Different problems, related with Cutting and Packing, are also welcomed. Typical, but not exclusive topics of interest are:
One-Dimensional Problems
Two-Dimensional Rectangular Problems
Nesting and irregular shapes packing
Three-Dimensional Packing
Bin-Packing
Container Loading
Problem generators and benchmarks
Additional Objectives and Constraints in C&P
Typologies
Industrial applications

SUBMISSION
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To submit a communication to the 19th ESICUP Meeting write an abstract (3000 characters maximum, approximately 1 page, and elucidative about the problem tackled, the methodology used and the main conclusions drawn) on a cutting and packing topic and submit it no later than March 3, 2023.
The abstracts of the accepted communications will be included into the 19th ESICUP Meeting proceedings book that will be available to download.
