Teaching Assistant
position over this summer. The position will officially start on October 1st, 2023.
This is a 1-year position, extendable several times to a maximum duration of 7 years,
whose aim is to complete a PhD thesis under the supervision of one of the members
of the Department of Mathematics (or possibly the Computer Science Department).
The candidate should:
- be fluent in French,
- hold a Master's degree in Mathematics (or a closely related area),
- conceive a research project with their PhD supervisor,
- NOT hold a PhD degree.
Here is a partial list of professors who could act as a PhD supervisor:
- Jean Cardinal (computational geometry, diameters of polytopes, algorithms)
- Samuel Fiorini (discrete optimization, approximation algorithms, convex polytopes, graph theory)
- Gwenaël Joret (graph theory, algorithms)
- John Iacono (computational geometry, data structures, algorithms)
- Dimitri Leemans (abstract polytopes, incidence geometries, finite groups)
