At the Department of Mathematics of Technische Universität Chemnitz
a PhD-position is available in the Algorithmic and Discrete Mathematics
group
starting on 1.10.2023 at the level of
Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in (m/w/d)
(75%, Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L)
initially for three years until 30.09.2026 within usual regulations

Applicants are expected to work towards a dissertation on a topic within
algorithmic/discrete mathematics or discrete/convex optimization.
They should be willing to participate actively in the development of our
working group.
As they will participate in the teaching duties of the department,
fluency in German is preferred or should be obtained to allow
teaching mathematics in German after the first year.
