[DMANET] Academic position in Modelling and Optimization of Electricity Systems and Markets at UCLouvain

The Catholic University of Louvain invites applications for an academic position in Modelling and Optimization of Electricity Systems and Markets.


The position covers broad areas of operations research and computer science, including stochastic, convex, combinatorial, non-convex, bi-level optimization,

decomposition methods, high performance computing, dynamic programming, stochastic simulation, algorithmic game theory, and machine learning.


The successful candidate will hold expertise in one (or more) of the above areas and will be expected to consolidate his/her research activities in the modelling

of electricity markets as well as in the modelling of electricity production and distribution.


The position involves teaching assignments at bachelor and master programs in mathematical engineering or computer science, some of which related to the fields

of the electricity markets and applied mathematics to economics. The knowledge of French is not a requirement.
