[DMANET] PhD Position in Distributed Algorithms

The Theory of Distributed Systems Group at the Paderborn University invites applications for a

PhD Position in Distributed Algorithms

The full-time position is for three years at the TVL-13 (100%) salary level and is available immediately (the exact start date is negotiable). The Paderborn University offers a strong scientific environment and plenty of opportunities for collaborations. Applicants should have a strong theoretical/mathematical background and an interest in at least one of the following topics:

* Design and analysis of algorithms
* Algorithms for distributed systems
* Network algorithms
* Algorithms for agent-based or robotic systems

We expect an excellent master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Applications should include
* a cover letter describing the interest in the position
* a detailed CV
* a transcript (in German or English) listing the courses and grades
* a copy of the Master thesis (if available)
* letters of reference resp. names and contact details of one or two references -- preferably one from your thesis advisor.
