[DMANET] Full Professorship 'Data Science Foundations' at TUHH, Hamburg, Germany

Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) seeks applicants for a full
professorship in 'Data Science Foundations'. We are looking for a
distinguished researcher to establish and lead the new Institute of Data
Science Foundations and to represent Data Science in research and teaching
at TUHH. Applicants are expected to have an excellent track record in
basic research as well as a strong interest in interdisciplinary
collaborations with engineering work groups at TUHH. We particularly
welcome applications from scientists with a research focus on

- Methods of machine learning and particularly statistical learning
- Theory of data efficient machine learning methods
- Estimators and algorithms for multi-dimensional distributions in
engineering
- Methods of time series analysis and their application to processes in
engineering
- Resource-efficient machine learning for embedded and cyber-physical
systems
- Development of mathematical methods and algorithmic implementations

The successful candidate is expected to offer courses both at the
undergraduate and the graduate level in computer science and related
programs of study, and to actively participate in the development of
curricula offered by TUHH. The ability to teach undergraduate courses in
German is a plus.
