[DMANET] Call for faculty position PUCV - Chile

Call for faculty position at Escuela de Ingeniería Informática, Pontificia
Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile.

We are seeking to fill one tenure-track faculty position at the Escuela de
Ingeniería Informática at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso
(PUCV), Valparaíso, Chile. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree on Computer
Sciences (or equivalent) or have their doctoral thesis submitted by June
15th, 2019.

Preferred research areas include, but are not limited to:
- Big data and data science
- Internet of Things
- Human-Computer Interaction and Usability
- Software Engineering
- Computer Networks
- Signal Analysis
- Optimization
- Computational Intelligence
- Multi-Agents

We seek dynamic colleagues who will positively contribute to the teaching,
research and service efforts of the Department. Candidates with published
articles in reputed ISI WoS indexed journals are highly preferred.

Salary is commensurate with candidate's experience and qualifications. The
offered salary will be competitive at the international level, and will be
complemented with research incentives and access to support funds.

The PUCV is currently ranked as the fourth (According to "America Economía"
Ranking) University in Chile and among the top 30 universities in Latin
America. The Escuela de Ingeniería Informática currently offers two
undergraduate programs (Ingeniería Civil Informática and Ingeniería de
Ejecución en Informática) and two postgraduate programs (Magíster en
Ingeniería Informática and Doctorado en Ingeniería Informática).
The PUCV is located at the heart of the Valparaíso metropolitan area, which
was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is considered among the
world's great university cities. The cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar
stand out for their quality of life and their diverse touristic attractions.

Candidates are asked to send a cover letter, their resume, a brief
description of their current research line, accomplishments and future
plans; a description of their teaching experience; two support letters and
candidate's salary expectations. The resume must include, at least,
previous and current research
projects where the candidate has some relevant participation degree, a list
of the published articles indicating whether they are ISI WoS indexed or
not, articles under review in indexed journals (ISI WoS or others) and
details on candidate's teaching experience. Additionally, candidates must
attach to their
application a copy of both their PhD degree and professional degree
certificates.
