[DMANET] Tenure Tack Position in Applied Geometry, Graz

TU Graz is offering a position in "applied geometry" with tenure track to
associate professor, and attached to the Institute of Geometry.

Applied Geometry - tenure track position at Graz University of Technology

Graz University of Technology is offering a University assistant position at
the post-doctoral level, with tenture track to Associate professor according
to § 99 /5 UG, in the area of Applied Geometry.

The position is associated with the Institute of Geometry, is 40 hours per
week, and initially offers a 6-year contract. Upon entering a qualification
agreement, there is an upgrade to assistant professor. As soon as this
agreement's conditions are fulfilled, the position is converted to Associate
Professor with tenure.

Required academic qualification: PhD degree in Mathematics or equivalent
qualificiation

The successful candidate should also possess the following qualifications:

*) Excellent research and publications in an area within "applied
geometry" which fits and strengthens the existing research at the
Institute of Geometry of.
*) teaching experience at universities
*) team skills
*) experience in acquiring research grants
*) visibility in the international scientific community

The position will involve the following duties:

*) active participation in the institute of geometry's teaching, at the
bachelor, master and doctoral level in Mathematics and engineering
disciplines, in English and in German.
*) research and publications in international venues
*) establishing a research group and actively pursuing funding
*) advising students' theses
*) participation in committee work and other administrative procedures

The position will be paid according to category B1 of the collective agreement
for employees of Austrian universities, stipulating a gross salary of €
4214,50 (14 x per year) before taxes. Graz University of Technology aims to
