[DMANET] Open PhD positions in Energy Management at University of Twente

Three open *PhD* positions

in two projects of the

*ENERGY MANAGEMENT GROUP*

*UNIVERSITY of TWENTE *

The interdisciplinary research group on 'Decentralized Energy
Management' at the University of Twente led by Johann Hurink has three
open PhD positions in recently granted research projects within the
smart energy domain. The positions are open for candidates with a
background in mathematics and technical disciplines who want to share
and gain knowledge in the context of decentralized energy management
systems.

The available positions are within the following two research projects:

-EU Horizon 2020 project 'SUSTENANCE (Sustainable Energy System for
Achieving Novel Carbon Neutral Energy Communities)': The aim is to
create novel sustainable and carbon neutral energy communities. The
project focusses on the development of smart technological concepts to
ensure a green transition of the energy systems with higher shares of
local renewable energy. (see also

-NWO perspective project 'MEGAMIND (Measuring, Gathering, Mining and
Integrating Data for Self-management in the Edge of the Electricity
System)': The program aims to set a significant step in the second
digitization wave in the energy distribution grid by developing a new
way in which value-chain partners in local electricity systems (the
electricity grid edge) interact with each other and with value-chain
actors in the higher-level electricity system. (see also

Both projects are in cooperation with other academic as well as external
partners (companies, cooperatives, etc). For further details on the
process see https://www.utwente.nl/en/eemcs/energy/open_positions/ .
