[DMANET] PhD Position in Discrete Optimization /Operations Research at the University of Graz

The Department of Operations and Information Systems at the University of Graz (Austria) is offering a 4-year PhD Position (75% employment) to be filled by April 2023 (or by mutual agreement). The candidate will join the Operations Research group and work on a PhD project in the area of Discrete Optimization. Both theoretical and applied topics are studied in the group. Current research areas include graph algorithms, resource allocation, scheduling and approximation algorithms, but also computational social choice.
Some teaching and supervision of students is part of the job.
At least basic knowledge of German is desired.
