[DMANET] Discrete Mathematics Days 2024 - Second announcement and call for submissions

The Discrete Mathematics Days 2024 (DMD 2024) will be held at Universidad de Alcalá, in Alcalá de Henares, Spain, on July 3-5, 2024. For more information, please visit the conference website https://dmd2024.web.uah.es.

The main focus of this international conference is on current topics in Discrete Mathematics, including (but not limited to):

- Coding Theory and Cryptography.
- Combinatorial Number Theory.
- Combinatorics.
- Discrete and Computational Geometry.
- Discrete Optimization.
- Graph Theory.
- Theoretical Computer Science.

This 2024 edition is a satellite conference of the 9th European Congress of Mathematics (https://www.ecm2024sevilla.com).

The previous three editions were held in Santander in 2022 (postponed from 2020, https://dmd2022.unican.es), Sevilla in 2018 (http://congreso.us.es/dmd2018) and Barcelona in 2016 (https://web.archive.org/web/20170504215505/http://discretemath.upc.edu/jmda16), inheriting the tradition of the Jornadas de Matemática Discreta y Algorítmica (JMDA), the Spanish biennial meeting on Discrete Mathematics started in 1998.

The program consists of four plenary talks, a prize talk by the awardee of the Ramon Llull prize, a number of shorter contributed talks in two parallel sessions, and a poster session. The plenary speakers are:

- Julia Böttcher, The London School of Economics and Political Science.
- Irit Dinur, The Weizmann Institute of Science.
- Arnau Padrol, Universitat de Barcelona.
- Alex Scott, University of Oxford.

If you wish to contribute a talk or a poster, please submit an extended abstract (at most six pages) **by April 7, 2024**. See further instructions at https://dmd2024.web.uah.es/submission.html

Submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. In order to be accepted for the conference, submissions must contain original and interesting research in the area of discrete mathematics. If too many acceptable talks are submitted, the Scientific Committee may ask some of them to be presented as posters instead.

The extended abstracts of accepted talks and posters will be made available at the web of the workshop and are expected to be published electronically including DOI and ISBN codes. Simultaneous submission of a final, full version of your contribution to a journal or another conference is acceptable and, in fact, expected.

Important dates:

- April 7, 2024: Deadline for submitting extended abstracts.
- May 17, 2024: Communication of acceptance.
- May 31, 2024: Deadline for submitting final versions of accepted contributions.
- May 31, 2024: Deadline for early registration.

Sincerely,

David Orden, Delia Garijo and Francisco Santos, on behalf of the organising and scientific committees.

PS: Apologies for multiple posting. If you have any comment, please write to dmd2024@uah.es.
