*Description of the Projects*
The selected students will work on projects related to city logistics and
machine learning. The research will address critical issues in urban
transportation and logistics, employing advanced machine learning
algorithms to optimize processes and enhance efficiency. The projects aim
to develop innovative solutions that can be implemented in real-world
scenarios, contributing to the advancement of smart city logistics.
*Scholarship and Salary Information*
The selected students will receive scholarships that cover tuition fees and
provide a monthly stipend to support living expenses. The highest
scholarship package for the academic year 2024-2025 includes the following:
*Doctorate Scholarship Package (Package A):*
- Stipend: 34,000 TL per year
- Free Dorm Room (double occupancy) or 6,000 TL transportation subsidy
- Stipend Supplement: 5,000 TL after passing the qualification exam
- Private Health Insurance (whole year)
- Laptop or Desktop Computer
- Conference Support: At least once during the program
- Tuition Waiver: 100%
*Master's with Thesis Scholarship Package (Package A):*
- Stipend: 24,000 TL per year
- Free Dorm Room (double occupancy) or 6,000 TL transportation subsidy
- Private Health Insurance (whole year)
- Laptop or Desktop Computer
- Conference Support: At least once during the program
- Tuition Waiver: 100%
*Profile*
The successful candidates must:
* Hold a Master's degree in operational research, computer science,
industrial engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field (for the
Ph.D. position) or a Bachelor's degree in the same fields (for the Master's
positions).
* Have a good knowledge of operational research, machine learning, and data
analysis.
* Have experience in mathematical programming modeling, metaheuristic
algorithms.
* Possess strong computer programming skills such as Python and C++.
* Demonstrate good organizational and communication skills, with the
ability to speak and write in English.

* The positions are expected to start in September 2024.
