The Computer Science Department at Portland State University invites
applications for a junior tenure-track faculty position to begin Fall
2010. Specific areas of computer science under consideration include:
artificial intelligence and machine learning; multi-core architectures
and parallel programming; visualization and graphics; security and
cryptography. Exceptional applicants in other areas or at other ranks
will also be considered.
The department currently has twenty-five tenure-track faculty,
including four NSF CAREER Award winners and two ACM Fellows. The
department offers an ABET accredited B.S., an M.S., and a Ph.D. in
Computer Science. Our teaching loads give faculty time to maintain
funded research programs and to collaborate with local industry. The
department currently serves approximately 400 undergraduates and 120
