The Fachgruppe Diskrete Mathematik of the DMV will hold its biannual
Symposium on Discrete Mathematics May 14/15, 2010 at the
Erwin Schroedinger Institut in Vienna.
Participants of the symposiums are urgently asked to register with Mrs.
Julia Cheng <hui-chun.julia.cheng@univie.ac.at>
and to ask her to make a hotel reservation.
(May is peak season in Vienna toutristically.)
The main speakers at the symposium will be:
* Christos Athanasiadis (University of Athens, Greece):
"Random Walks on Hyperplane Arrangements"
* Maria Chudnovsky (Columbia University, New York, USA)
"Large cliques and stable sets excluding paths and antipaths"
* Friedrich Eisenbrand (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne,
Switzerland)
"Limits of Abstraction"
* Ehud Friedgut (Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel)
"Intersecting families of permutations, an algebraic approach"
* Jeong Han Kim (National Institute for Mathematical Sciences,
Daejeon, South Corea)
"Complete description of early giant components in random graph G(n,p)"
The further programme will be announced shortly at the website
