The engineering department of the University of Bordeaux is advertising two open positions in Operations Research: one professorship and one assistant professorship. The recrutees will join the INRIA team « RealOpt » doing research in Mathematical Programming, while being members of the Mathematics Institute of Bordeaux and the LABEX CPU created in the framework of the research excellence initiative. The candidates should have high profile research records in mathematical optimization: combinatorial algorithms, polyhedral and Lagrangian approaches, non linear mixed integer programming, constraint programming, or robust and stochastic optimization. An expertise in application areas such as networks, production planning, and scheduling, and in numerical experimentation are essential along with some inclination for industrial transfer.
Note that prior to applying, the candidates must obtain a qualification to enter the French educational system, by submitting a CV to the national council by December. However, registration for this procedure is urgent: it must be done y October 25, 4PM Paris time:
