Institute of Theoretical Computer Science
ETH Zurich, Switzerland
-----------------------------------------------------------------
A PhD position is available within the project "Network Creation
and Network Design Games" funded by the Swiss National Science
Foundation. The project is supervised by Matus Mihalak, and is
positioned within the research group Algorithms, Data Structures,
and Applications" led by Peter Widmayer (http://www.pw.ethz.ch).
The project focuses on topics concerning networks and their
analysis using and developing tools of algorithmic game theory.

Candidates are expected to have a degree in Mathematics or
Computer Science, with emphasis on at least some of algorithms,
theoretical computer science (in general), graph theory,
algorithmic game theory, approximation and online algorithms.

Applications with CV, names of two references (including the
thesis supervisor), a short letter about scientific background
and interests, and when the candidate wishes to start the
project, should be sent electronically to Matus Mihalak
<matus.mihalak[AT]inf.ethz.ch>.

Submission of applications as early as possible is encouraged. A
