Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in optimization
at the School of Mathematics, University of Edinburgh.
You will participate in the EPSRC funded project ?Mathematics for Vast
Digital Resources? and be part of the Edinburgh Research Group in
Optimization (http://www.maths.ed.ac.uk/ERGO).
This is a 1-year fixed term position available as soon as possible and
ideally, starting not later than May 1st 2013. In exceptional
circumstances the starting date may be delayed by one or two months.

Essential skills:
-A PhD in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science or a
related field.

-Good technical communication skills, orally and in writing.
Desirable skills:
-Strong track record in optimization methods.
-Prior exposure to interior point methods.
-Experience with programming and high performance computing.
-Enthusiasm and talent for quality teaching.
