he Operations Research group of the Computer Science Department (LIP6) at the University Pierre and Marie Curie offers a postdoctoral position in the area of operations research and combinatorial optimization.
The postdoc may pursue his/her own line of research but a research interest in approximation algorithms, algorithmic game theory, combinatorial optimization, mathematical programming and scheduling is very welcome.
The Operations Research group consists of several researchers in the areas of algorithmic design and analysis, mathematical programming,
operations research and theoretical computer science. The members of the group and their activities can be found at

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree (in computer science or related disciplines) or be close to obtaining it. Knowledge of French is not required, but good
communication skills and a solid knowledge of English are essential.
The position is available starting September 2013 (with some flexibility on the starting date). Funding is available for one year,
with no provision of renewal and provides a competitive 12 month salary with standard benefits such as health insurance and social coverage included.
There are no teaching responsibilities.
