[DMANET] Doctoral position at the Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø has a
PhD position vacant from 01.08.2018 (negotiable).
The appointment is for a period of four years.
The PhD candidate will be an integral member of the SymRAG research project. This project encompasses a wide variety of methods
and experience with (at least one) of the following areas will be considered favourable :

(Real) algebraic geometry, algebraic topology, (combinatorial) optimisation, complexity theory.

Also the willingness of traveling and working with project partners outside Norway will be a plus.

The position will especially be assigned moderate teaching duties in mathematics for which proficiency in English is required.
