[DMANET] Industrial Engineering Faculty Position in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the Sultan Qaboos University, Oman

The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Sultan Qaboos
University (Oman) invites applications for an Assistant Professor position
for the Industrial Engineering Program.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong research
program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and contribute to
mentoring students.The successful candidate will also be expected to
contribute to an environment that nurtures collaboration among researchers
across the College and University. The successful candidate will also
participate in outreach and contribute to departmental, college, and
university service. In these, and other ways, the faculty member will help
to develop innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement,
increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with community and
business partners.

All candidates must have an earned Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree by
the date of appointment in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research,
Engineering Management, System Engineering or related field from an
accredited university.

Preferred Qualifications

Any two degree (BS, MS, PhD) in IE will be given priority.
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Record of or potential for strong scholarly achievements in relevant field;
A commitment to teaching excellence and an on-going, externally funded
research program.
