A PhD or Postdoc position is available in the group of Professor Kevin
Buchin at the Department of Computer Science, Technical University
Dortmund. The group's research focus is algorithm engineering for
geometric problems, including algorithms for spatial networks,
geographic information systems and motion planning.

The ideal candidate holds an excellent master's degree (and for a
postdoc position: a PhD) in computer science and has a background in
algorithms, ideally computational geometry and/or algorithm engineering.
Good proficiency in English and German are expected, since the position
includes teaching in German.

The position is a full-time position for 3 years, with the possibility
of extension, paid according to the Federal German payment scale TV-L 13
