[DMANET] PhD position AI/ML

The Hamacher group at Technische Universität Darmstadt invites
applications for the position of a

Research Assistant (Ph.D. Student) (all genders) – 50%
at first term of 3 years.

The research group focus on computational methods in the natural
sciences, especially mathematical and algorithmic aspects.

Research topics include but are not limited to:
* machine learning
* statistical physics
* heuristic optimization, genetic and evolutionary programming

Ideally, you have a completed university degree (Master, Diploma) with a
background in one or more of relevant areas (physics, computer science,
bioinformatics, mathematics).

The scope and field of the Ph.D. research is to be discussed, but the
Ph.D. program can be chosen from the departments of physics, computer
science, or biology.

Opportunity for further qualification (doctoral dissertation) is given.
The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific
qualifications of the candidate.

The Technische Universität Darmstadt intends to increase the number of

to the collective agreements on salary scales, which apply to the
