[DMANET] PhD position in infra informatics with an orientation in railway systems at Linköping University, Sweden

We are looking for a PhD student in infra informatics with an orientation in railway systems to work with late-stage rescheduling in a railway timetable because of major disruptions. You'll be working in the Communications and Transportations Systems division at Linköping University, Sweden.

You will participate in developing the timetabling process together with a strong research team in co-operation with the Swedish infrastructure manager Trafikverket and the research program Capacity in the Railway Traffic System (KAJT), and additional organisations associated with the EU project Europe's Rail.

Qualifications
===========
You have graduated at master's level mathematics or logistics or completed courses with a minimum of 240 credits, at least 60 of which must be in advanced courses in a similar area. Alternatively, you have gained essentially corresponding knowledge in another way.

Experiences in mathematical optimization, statistics and rail-traffic planning are meritorious. A preference is given to candidates who have good Swedish knowledge (for communication with project partners).
