[DMANET] PhD position in infra informatics with an orientation in railway systems at Linköping University, Sweden

We are looking for a PhD student in infra informatics with an orientation in railway systems to work with late-stage rescheduling in a railway timetable because of major disruptions. You'll be working in the Communications and Transportations Systems division at Linköping University, Sweden.

You will participate in developing the timetabling process together with a strong research team in co-operation with the Swedish infrastructure manager Trafikverket and the research program Capacity in the Railway Traffic System (KAJT), and additional organisations associated with the EU project Europe's Rail.

You have graduated at master's level mathematics or logistics or completed courses with a minimum of 240 credits, at least 60 of which must be in advanced courses in a similar area. Alternatively, you have gained essentially corresponding knowledge in another way.

Experiences in mathematical optimization, statistics and rail-traffic planning are meritorious. A preference is given to candidates who have good Swedish knowledge (for communication with project partners).
