[DMANET] The Fastcode Seminar: Algorithms, Compilers, Accelerators, and Whatever It Takes

Announcing the Fastcode Seminar [1] -- a monthly series of virtual talks
that covers the latest research topics in the theory, practice, and
teaching of performance engineering.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to

- algorithm design and implementation;
- techniques for improving parallelism and locality;
- high-performance programming languages and frameworks;
- compilers for parallel code;
- tools for analyzing performance;
- hardware techniques for improving performance;
- parallel and concurrent data structures;
- models and algorithms for emerging technologies;
- high-performance solutions for databases, operating systems,
networking, and artificial intelligence;
- and just plain clever hacks.

To receive seminar announcements, sign up in [2] for the Fastcode
mailing list.

Our next seminar is Monday April 14 and features Saman Amarasinghe
talking about "Transforming High-Performance Libraries to
Domain-Specific Languages and Optimizing Compilers with BuildIt." Learn
more about Saman's talk [3]. Future seminars in May and June will
feature Guy Blelloch and Mike Spear.

The seminar organizing committee includes Jakub Łącki, Roberto Palmieri,
Christian Schulz, Julian Shun, Yihan Sun, and Bruce Hoppe. If you'd like
to nominate a speaker for the Fastcode Seminar, please let us know [4].
