Dear colleagues, We are pleased to invite you to submit a paper to the Invited Session "Digital Twins and Agentic AI for Sustainable Manufacturing and Logistics Systems" at the 21st IFAC Symposium on Information Control and Optimization in Manufacturing (INCOM 2027), Nantes, France, June 28-30, 2027. Conference website: https://hub.imt-atlantique.fr/incom2027/ The session is organized by IFAC TC 5.2 Working Group 9 "Digital Twins in Manufacturing and Logistics Systems". SCOPE Digital Twins (DTs) and Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) are rapidly converging paradigms reshaping how Manufacturing and Logistics (M&L) systems are monitored, controlled and managed. Integrated with DTs, intelligent agents can analyze real-time data, detect anomalies and proactively support decisions on scheduling, resource allocation, maintenance and logistics, keeping humans in the loop as final decision-makers. This integration is also a powerful lever for sustainable and human-centric M&L systems. This session invites original theoretical and applied contributions on the use of DTs and/or agentic AI for designing and managing sustainable, resilient and human-centric M&L systems. Case studies and industrial applications are particularly encouraged. TOPICS include, but are not limited to: - DT architectures, enabling technologies and conceptual frameworks - Multi-agent and LLM-based AI agents interacting with DT environments for human-in-the-loop decision support - Agentic AI for order acceptance, production planning, real-time scheduling, sequencing and operational control - DT-based simulation and optimization for flexible manufacturing, assembly line balancing and layout design - DT and agentic AI for energy-efficient, low-carbon and circular M&L systems - Monitoring, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance and prognostics - Warehousing, AGV/AMR fleets, intralogistics and resilient supply chains - Quality control, process monitoring and zero-defect manufacturing - Resilience: disruption detection, what-if analysis, risk assessment, reconfiguration and recovery - Human Digital Twin: ergonomics, workload, skills and well-being - Human-agent collaboration: task allocation, trust, acceptance and explainability - Data synchronization, validation and fidelity of DT models - Trustworthiness, robustness, safety and responsible use of DT and agentic AI-based decision support - Economic, environmental, social and organizational assessment of DT and agentic AI adoption - Case studies and industrial applications SUBMISSION Papers must be submitted via https://ifac.papercept.net/ (select INCOM 2027) as invited session papers using the invited session code: 3c9v3 Please follow the official IFAC instructions and two-column template. Accepted papers will be published open access in Elsevier's IFAC-PapersOnLine, and selected papers will be invited to post-conference special issues in IFAC and other high-ranking journals.
