Call for Workshops Proposals - co-located with IEEE WoWMoM 2027 - DEADLINE November 16, 2026 -------------------------------------------------------------- IEEE WoWMoM 2027 - World of Wireless Mobility, IoT and Machine Learning Call for Papers 21-24 June 2027, Irvine, California, USA https://wowmom2027.dii.unipi.it -------------------------------------------------------------- Scope and Overview The IEEE Symposium on a World of Wireless Mobility, IoT and Machine Learning (IEEE WoWMoM 2027) is a premier international forum for research at the intersection of wireless and mobile networking, distributed systems, multimedia communications, and emerging networked applications, at its 28th edition! https://wowmom2027.dii.unipi.it/index.html The IEEE WoWMoM 2027 Organizing Committee invites proposals for full-day or half-day workshops to be held in conjunction with the conference. WoWMoM workshops provide an opportunity to explore emerging, focused, interdisciplinary, and forward-looking research topics in an interactive setting. They are intended to complement the main conference program by creating a forum in which researchers and practitioners can present novel ideas, discuss early-stage results, identify new research challenges, and foster collaborations around rapidly evolving areas. We particularly encourage workshop proposals that address timely or emerging research directions, bring together communities that do not traditionally interact, or investigate visionary and potentially controversial topics related to wireless, mobile, and multimedia networking. Workshops should be designed to promote active participation and lively discussion. Organizers are therefore encouraged to consider formats including keynote talks, moderated discussions, and other interactive activities. Workshop proposals are welcome across the broad technical scope of IEEE WoWMoM, including, but not limited to, topics related to wireless and mobile networks, next-generation communication systems, edge and cloud networking, Internet of Things and cyber-physical systems, AI/ML-enabled networking, network intelligence and automation, mobile and pervasive computing, multimedia systems, network security and privacy, experimental networking, emerging applications, and interdisciplinary networking research. Accepted workshop papers will be published in dedicated workshops proceedings, separate from the IEEE WoWMoM 2027 main conference proceedings, and published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, indicating their affiliation with IEEE WoWMoM 2027. All accepted workshops are expected to follow a common paper format and review schedule. Workshop papers must use the standard two-column IEEE conference format and have a maximum length of 6 pages. Workshop Co-Chairs will work closely with the organizers of accepted workshops to coordinate the review process, maintain a high-quality technical program, and ensure that all accepted papers satisfy IEEE publication requirements. To be included in the conference proceedings, at least one author of each accepted workshop paper must register for IEEE WoWMoM 2027 at the applicable full conference registration rate, and the paper must be presented by one of its authors during the workshop. Through its workshop program, IEEE WoWMoM 2027 aims to provide a vibrant environment for launching new research directions, consolidating emerging communities, and stimulating discussions that may shape the future of wireless, mobile, and multimedia networking. Researchers interested in building such communities are strongly encouraged to submit a workshop proposal. Submission Guidelines Each workshop proposal must include at least the following: * Workshop title: The full name of the workshop and its intended acronym. * Organizers: The names and affiliations of the organizers (up to three, from at least two different institutions). * Description: A brief description (up to one page) of the technical issues that the workshop will address, and the reasons why the workshop is of interest to WoWMoM at this time. * Target community: A description of the communities or research groups the workshop intends to attract. * Program committee: The names and affiliations of at least ten prospective program committee members. * Format and schedule: The planned format of the workshop (full-day or half-day) as well as a tentative schedule that demonstrates the strategy to facilitate lively discussions and the involvement of attendees. * Invited speakers: The names of potential invited keynote speakers, if an invited talk is included in the planned format. * Past editions: If applicable, a description of past versions of the workshop, including dates, organizers, numbers of submitted and accepted papers, and number of attendees. * Tentative CFP: A tentative call for papers for the workshop. * Dissemination plan: A description of the planned activities for disseminating information about the workshop (e.g., publicizing CFPs) and the workshop website. Workshop proposals must be submitted in PDF format on or before November 16th, 2026 by e-mail to the IEEE WoWMoM 2027 Workshops Co-Chairs, using “WoWMoM2027 Workshop Proposal” as the subject line.
