Dear colleagues, We are excited to announce that registrations are now open for the Spring school Mind the Shift on symbolic dynamics which will take place in Liège, Belgium, April 19 to 23, 2027. https://mind-the-shift.sciencesconf.org/ This school aims at introducing participants to symbolic dynamics by giving a broad view of its impact in different fields of mathematics and theoretical computer science. It primarily targets young researchers at the master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels, but is open to everyone. It will be split in three courses: * Introduction to symbolic dynamics by Ronnie Pavlov (University of Denver) * Links between symbolic dynamics and decidability problems by Étienne Moutot (CNRS, Institut Fournier, Université de Grenoble Alpes), * Links between symbolic dynamics and combinatorics by France Gheeraert (Université Picardie Jules Vernes, Lamfa). Each course will be divided in three lectures and one exercise session. The school will end with a presentation and poster session. The registration is free and includes three lunches and the conference dinner. There is a limited number of spots, and the registration deadline is April 5, 2027. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. We hope to welcome you in Liège soon, The organizing committee, Antoine Abram, Tore Koß, Manon Stipulanti and Léo Vivion ********************************************************** * * Contributions to be spread via DMANET are submitted to * * DMANET@zpr.uni-koeln.de * * Replies to a message carried on DMANET should NOT be * addressed to DMANET but to the original sender.
