[DMANET] Two postdoctoral positions at Leipzig University

Dear colleagues, We are advertising two postdoctoral positions at the Institute of Mathematics of Leipzig University - one under supervision of James Davies and one under supervision of Dan Kráľ. The research focus of the positions is flexible and all candidates working in relevant areas of combinatorics are encouraged to apply. The Institute of Mathematics provides a vibrant research environment, which, in the area of algebra and discrete mathematics, offers collaboration opportunities with Sofia Brenner, Łukasz Grabowski, Tobias Finis, and their postdocs and students. In addition, there are extensive opportunities for collaboration with researchers based at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (MPI-MiS). The successful candidate will benefit from generous travel and visitor funding provided through the Alexander von Humboldt Professorship held by Dan Kráľ. Since one of the two positions will be funded by the university, the proficiency in German would be a strong advantage (because of the involvement in teaching). Starting date: Second half of 2027 or first half of 2028 Length of contract: 2 years Remuneration: Fixed in accordance to the TV-L E13 scale Application deadline: November 8, 2026 Applications should consist of a cover letter (including contact details of three referees who may be asked for recommendation letters) and a CV containing a full list of publications and should be submitted via e-mail to Jean-Marc Mues <jean-marc.mues@uni-leipzig.de> before the deadline noted above. All applications will be automatically considered for both positions that have been advertised.
