[DMANET] PhD or Postdoc Positions ComPoSe Berlin

PhD or Postdoc Positions in Berlin

Two PhD or Postdoc positions are available in within
the Berlin branch of the Eurocores project

EuroGiga - ComPoSe (http://www.eurogiga-compose.eu/)
"Combinatorics of Point Sets and Arrangements of Objects"

The project assembles three research directions, each led by a senior researcher.
The areas and the responsible researchers are:
• Arrangements of Pseudolines, Stefan Felsner (Technische Universität Berlin)
• Enumeration of Polycubes, Günter Rote (Freie Universität Berlin)
• Tverberg Type Theorems, Günter M. Ziegler (Freie Universität Berlin)

Candidates will be expected to undertake research in at least one of
these topics. The positions are for three years, with a 3/4 Berlin
TVL-13 salary (approx. 20000 EUR net salary per annum). Review of applications
will commence end of June and continue until the positions are filled.
We are seeking excellent students or Postdocs with a Masters/Diploma degree resp. PhD
in mathematics, computer science or a closely related field. Solid background
in discrete geometry and combinatorics is required. Applications, including CV,
