[DMANET] 1st CFP Special Issue Natural Computing - Automata Networks and Their Applications

Dear colleagues,

We are glad to inform you that a special issue of Natural Computing will be edited on the occasion of Jacques Demongeot's 70th birthday. This special issue, entitled "Automata Networks and Their Applications" is set in lines with the works Jacques Demongeot has done about automata networks from both the discrete mathematics and theoretical computer science points of view (through discovering new fundamental properties about their dynamical and computational properties) and the applications point of view (biological and physical modelling). This special issue will also be an occasion to commend René Thomas for his seminal studies on biological networks that paved the way to a prosperous research domain from both theoretical and practical lines.

So, original or review papers, not shorter than 10 pages, are welcome in the area of discrete dynamical systems. More precisely, the topics of interest are: automata networks such as Boolean networks, cellular automata and their variants and extensions, unconventional and natural computation, complexity, modelling of biological / physical / social systems (e.g. genetic regulatory networks, particle interaction networks, social networks…).

We hope to follow the important dates given below, for having a first evaluation of the set of contributions:

- Submission deadline: May 15, 2018.
- Notification to authors: September 15, 2018.

Papers will be handled through the Springer Editorial System:
https://www.editorialmanager.com/naco

If you have not used this system before you will need to "register" first.
*N.B.: Once logged-in, you have to select Article Type: "S.I.: Automata Networks and Their Applications" in order to submit to the special issue.*

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any question.

With best regards,

Enrico Formenti and Sylvain Sené
Editors of the Special Issue
