[DMANET] PhD position in Combinatorics at UPC Barcelona

The research group GAPCOMB (Geometric, Algebraic and Probabilistic
Combinatorics) from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barcelona) is
offering a PhD Scholarship under the research project 'Geometric, Algebraic
and Probabilistic Combinatorics' funded by the Spanish Ministery of
Science, Innovation and Universities.

Topics of research: combinatorial geometries, analytic combinatorics and
random graphs, additive combinatorics, matroids.

Potential PhD advisors: Simeon Ball, Anna de Mier, Marc Noy, Oriol Serra,
Juanjo Rué

Economic conditions: the scholarship is a 4-year grant including a contract
with the university (which covers medical insurance and social security)
and tuition fees. The net salary is around 1000 euros (14 monthly
payments), and the grant includes extra 3000 euros for a long research stay
(2-3 months) outside Spain. The candidate would also benefit from our
research grant to attend workshops, conferences and research school.

Working conditions: The candidate join our research team and work in Campus
Nord in Barcelona (https://goo.gl/maps/4Pnm6EoxLjR2), the main campus of
Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. She/he will also join the Barcelona
Graduate School of Mathematics (BGSMath, https://bgsmath.cat/)
