[DMANET] IEEE WoWMoM 2024: Call for Ph.D. Forum Extended Abstracts

IEEE WoWMoM 2024: Call for Ph.D. Forum Extended Abstracts

SCOPE AND OVERVIEW

Welcome to the 25th IEEE International Symposium on a World of Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks.

The Ph.D. Forum on Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks will be held at IEEE WoWMoM 2024 in Perth, Australia. The Forum provides an excellent opportunity for current and recently completed Ph.D. and Masters researchers to present their dissertation research, including work in progress, to an internationally renowned audience of researchers from the Academia and Industry. This forum offers an opportunity to meet and obtain feedback from accomplished international researchers and share experiences with other researchers.

FORMAT

The Forum will be organized as a co-located WoWMoM event, attended by experts in wireless, mobile, and multimedia networking and ubiquitous and pervasive systems. Accepted abstracts will be invited to present during a Conversation event (more information to follow). During the Conversations, senior community members will be present to provide constructive technical comments to each attendee.

GUIDELINES

Ph.D. and Masters researchers are invited to submit two-page extended abstracts that describe their current research and potential contributions. Authors should be currently registered Ph.D. or Master Students or recently graduated (within the last year). Submissions should be aligned with the specific interests of WoWMoM and broadly aligned to the field of mobile and wireless networking and applications. The abstract must be in English and adhere to the IEEE two-column conference format. See IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings. Submissions must be in PDF format, be no more than two pages in length (including references and figures). Submissions that are substantially similar to presentations from a previous Postgraduate Forum are not allowed. Abstracts should discuss the research questions addressed within the thesis and should focus on highlighting the challenges of the problems, the originality of the proposed approach, and technical aspects of the proposed techniques. Inclusion of preliminary experimental results are also encouraged. The abstract should include the author's name, affiliation, and email address. The name of the supervisor should be marked ("supervised by …") on the paper under the author's name. Submissions will be reviewed by the Ph.D. Forum Technical Program Committee to ensure quality and relevance. In case of acceptance, the length of the camera-ready paper will be limited to two pages. Accepted abstracts will be included in the proceedings of IEEE WoWMoM 2024 and will be made available through the IEEE Xplore digital library. All papers must be registered and submitted through the EDAS.
